Privacy

What we collect — and what we don't.

Last updated May 2025

The short version: Anchored In does not store your submissions, does not create accounts, and does not sell or share your data with anyone. What you bring to Anchored In stays between you and the Word.

What you type or speak

When you submit something to Anchored In, your text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. It is not saved to any database, not logged by Anchored In, and not associated with any identifier. Once the response is returned to your screen, nothing is retained on our end.

Anthropic may process your input as part of the API transaction. You can review Anthropic's privacy practices at anthropic.com/privacy.

No accounts, no tracking

Anchored In has no user accounts. There is no login, no profile, and no history stored anywhere. There are no tracking cookies, no advertising pixels, and no analytics that identify you personally.

Basic server logs

Like any web server, Anchored In's hosting provider may retain standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps, pages visited) for security and operational purposes. These are not used to identify or track individual users and are not accessible to Anchored In beyond what the hosting provider retains by default.

Rate limiting

To prevent abuse, Anchored In tracks the number of requests per IP address within a rolling window. This information is held temporarily in memory and is not stored persistently or linked to any personal information.

Children

Anchored In is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through Anchored In, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Anchored In's commitment — no storing, no selling, no tracking — will not change.
